I assume so. I don’t really know what the trompe was since it sure looked like a real door to me.
It strikes me as having been a blueprint or elevation drawing that somehow got written on the frame, instead of the actual painted eye trick going in, which is just wonderful – in a smart, Magritte sort of way.
