Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- No subletting of GU dorms for inauguration. Killjoys.
- Some cool Civil War-era photos of Georgetown.

That’s a gorgeous sky!
Anyone know if that Georgetown College building in the lithograph still exists in some form on campus?
Kate, I believe this is the Old South building, which no longer exists. It looked quite a bit like Old North, which still stands. Old South was torn down in 1903 to build Ryan Hall. Union Troops were actually quartered next to Old South, in Maguire Hall, during the Civil War: http://maps.georgetown.edu/maguirehall/107/
Also note the canopy structure on the right, which covered the old college drinking well. It is still in place on the quad today only now the well is capped and serves as a seating area.
