Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- Something is going on with Blues Alley and a tax incentive, and possibly the Lincoln Theater. Beyond that, GM can’t figure it out.
- Waaaay back during the late 90s Internet bubble, GM had an idea for a website called parkthecar.com. You’d be able to go on and find out where parking lots had space and you could reserve and pay for the spot before you left. Never getting planning beyond choosing the website name, GM decided to go to law school instead. So he gets a kick out of reading that a Georgetown-based parking lot company is finally catching up to the idea.

I downloaded the Colonial Parking app last week, and it’s not bad. Doesn’t allow reservations, but lets you know (for most lots/garages) whether there’s currently available parking, what the hours and rates are, and what payment methods they accept.
