Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- This is largely why GM doesn’t go down to the Washington Harbour that much anymore.
- Something called Calypso St. Barth is opening in one of Eastbanc’s properties on the western end of M St. It will had women’s clothes, and home furnishings. What an odd mixture.

Calypso makes lovely, chic, mostly summer dresses and will brighten Georgetown considerably. It’s a break from the M Street commercial area trends – “discount mart” and “teen wear” — and yet it’s affordable and can be worn by any age. Recalls the stylish La Strada boutique that was on Wisconsin Avenue.
Selling home furnishings and women’s wear appears to work – e.g. Anthropologie.
