Their plans for buildings are running into opposition, but nobody is going to complain about Tudor Place’s plans for new trees, right?
There’s a good chance that Georgetown will get its second Capital Bikeshare station on Wisconsin just south of the canal.

Proper Topper is moving out of its P St. location, stop by for a sale this weekend. They hope to find new digs in Georgetown, but until then stop by this weekend for a moving sale.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

Hardy School continues to be a flashpoint over school reform in the District. Surprisingly, Vince Gray was willing to weigh in on the topic at last week’s Q&A Cafe and appeared to be hinting that he’d return Pope to Hardy.
GM missed this last week, but the Current reported that it appears that Vornado is taking over control of the mall. The article stated that ownership is now free and clear, but for what it’s worth, EastBanc’s lawsuit for ownership of the mall appears to be still active.

Hey, you’re going to have a new mayor in a few months. Come listen to what he has to say about Georgetown at the next Q&A Cafe on Wednesday.
Georgetowner Herb Miller wants a gig as the Deputy Mayor of Planning and Urban Development in the Gray administration. In related news, a fox wants to take over the job of watching the hen-house. (Seriously though, the two largest projects Miller gave to Georgetown are the mall and the waterfront complex. GM thinks the neighborhood would be a lot better without both.)
