Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Last community meetings on GU’s ten year plan coming up.
  • MPD reports that the robbers who hit Cafe Bonaparte Monday night didn’t actually get any money.

I’ve come around to CAG’s opposition to the Ten Year Plan. It’s true that there’s no more dorm space possible behind the gates without eliminating the small green space that remains. But tearing down 6 historic houses on the 1789 block is equally unacceptable. The solution is to build grad housing OUTSIDE of Georgetown and run GUTS there. This would be more expensive than building on land GU already owns, but GU would also be able to build much more grad and professor housing than they would in Georgetown.

Is there a link about the MPD report and Cafe Bonaparte?

just to let you know that sometimes I still can’t open your links. At least once a day I can, but seemingly never the first and most important one – the one with all the info I actually need. (I’m following the G’town Univ. plan very closely). If someone can help on YOUR end (it’s not ours – we’ve had it checked), it would really be appreciated.
    Many thanks!

@Mez – right click on the page and click view source info. If you have a basic knowledge of HTML you can easily locate what the intended URL is and cut and paste it into your browser.
