The Morning Metropolitan

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Serendipity 3 already lost its Executive Chef. Could signal trouble, but then again, Hook lost Barton Seaver pretty soon after it opened (although not nearly this soon) and it turned out alright. Plus, Serendipity already has lines out the door, so that weighs in its favor.
  • Not too much else going on, but don’t forget the Rose Park Farmers Market tonight.

Furin’s is closing by August 1, 2011. There should be some tax incentives and concessions for small unique Mom and Pop business like Furin’s, Morgan’s Pharmacy, etc. to thrive and balance out the big chains and other establishments you find on any corner of America.
