Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- Despite securing the option to sign a new long term lease at Scheele’s, the Lees have decided to retire. The neighborhood group that negotiated to gaurantee a market remain at the property for at least the next 15 years will now seek a new market operator. Make sure to stop by and wish the Lees well.
- New food truck regulations unlikely to bring any change to Georgetown.
The Georgetown Metropolitan 
Oh, poor Georgetown. The Lee’s have brightened that corner for us week in and week out. Is Mrs Lee ever not smiling? They know our names, our idiosyncrasies; if there’s something in particular you want on a regular basis Mr. Lee will get it in stock. Sara’s did not benefit from change of ownership. Let’s hope Scheele’s thrives, but the Lee’s are a tough act to follow.
