- Duke Ellington was a great man, and Duke Ellington School is a great school, but the Post needs to stop saying it’s in Georgetown. It’s in Burleith.

The Georgetown Metropolitan 
Well, to be fair, Ellington is across the street (actually across either Reservoir or 35th) from Georgetown, so I wouldn’t rank this one too high on the list of journalistic oversights.
Maybe they keep writing it because the great, great majority of Washingtonians simply don’t care what the official boarders of the neighborhood may or may not be. Regardless what the pedantic/busybody class may say, Burleith is part of Georgetown.
