About the time of the Latham/Citronelle closing, there was a big yellow crane that was positioned at the corner of 30th & M, which was unusual as it was a weekday. I thought the Latham might be using the crane for an emergency HVAC installation, but that presumption seems to have been wrong.
IMO, water damage that could produce this sudden, multi-month shutdown would likely be corrosive and severe damage to electrical circuitry. If the damage is corrosion to rebar in the concrete, good luck fixing that. .
Too bad La Madeleine can’t take the old Furin’s spot – seems like it’d be perfect.
