The Georgetown Metropolitan 
The story of the violinist reminds me of the Balloon Man, a Georgetown fixture on Wisconsin Avenue and M Street in the evenings for many years in the 60s and 70s. He was a colorful presence, strolling the nightlife core of the Village, selling his balloons: “Make the ladies happy! Make the children happy! Make everybody happy!” … Mais, ou sont les neiges d’antan?
