Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- One of the bidders won the West Heating Plant auction with a bid of $19.5. It’s not publicly known at this time who that bidder is, and whether the GSA will exercise its option to reject the final bid.
- Speaking of the West Heating Plant, apparently the staff of the DC Office of Planning are not entire opposed to the winner basically knocking the whole thing down and building a new building just as high. The Old Georgetown Board, on the other hand, will probably not be so amenable.

I’m guessing that is why we don’t know the ‘winner’ yet until the GSA decides to accept or reject the offer? Sounds like a lot of people know who it is — it just isn’t ‘public’.
