The French Market returns this weekend to Book Hill. It’s actually starting right now! It will run today until 5 pm and tomorrow from 10 AM to 5 pm.
This is a chance to check out all the cute shops that make Book Hill a special corner of Georgetown (for those unfamiliar with the terminology, it’s Wisconsin Ave. between Q and the library).
GM has a special place in his heart for the French Market because it was after visiting it in 2008 that he proposed to his wife.
And funnily enough, you can see GM’s wedding band at the 1:30 mark in the movie above. They’re called Yamomanum, and they’re the best New Orleans band in DC. They’re scheduled to play again at the market on Saturday.
