GM spent last night watching the fantastic ensemble Knights perform at the Dumbarton Oaks Friends of Music series. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the debut of Igor Stravinsky’s Concerto in E Flat–otherwise known as “Dumbarton Oaks”–Knights played Stravinsky’s piece in the very same room the original piece was commissioned to be performed in. On top of several concertos, the group also locally debuted two of their own pieces.
The point being that GM didn’t have time to write anything last night except these two paragraphs you’ve just finished reading.
