The Georgetown Metropolitan 
Goorin Brothers is a great hat shop, with a pretty wide variety at reasonable prices. I picked up a hat at their outlet in Pasadena a few years ago, and was thinking–it would be awesome to have one of these in DC.
I’m not sure if “many” people wear hats these days, but taking a look around downtown on the average morning commute, it’s a fair amount (especially compared to the low supply of hat outlets).
Plus, hipsters.
