The Morning Metropolitan

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Sad news: Marvelous Market is closing down today. It was hardly perfect, and could be so much better, but it was still a decently useful shop. GM hears that the Neams family, which still owns the building, is looking for a new market to fill the space. Let’s hope!
  • Some newer drawings of the proposed Exxon condos.

  1. Oh, No!! Lets pray for another market and not another bank!

  2. Sad about Marvelous Market…. a mini “Eataly” would be so lovely….. one can always dream!

  3. I think there has been a lot of success with much better markets lately – Glen’s Garden Market, Market Salamander from Middleburg, and Little Red Fox in Chevy Chase. Let’s hope for one of these!
