My wife and I moved in just as Beppe was coming to the US to promote the book in 2003. We had no idea until a publicist knocked on our door and Beppe invited us to the Italian Embassy for a book event. We put the plaque on the door that week to honor Beppe and make it easier for visiting Italians to find the house – and obviously it still hangs there today. BTW, two years ago, Beppe and his now-grown son who wss a toddler in the book visited to see the house again. Thanks, GM!
