Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- The Georgetown BID apparently generated over $38,000 for Georgetown Ministries with last year’s Taste of Georgetown. Hopefully that will satisfy the ANC when the BID asks to shut down the streets for next year’s event. (Don’t worry, it will).
- WashCycle notices Georgetown’s attempts to lure some more Bikeshare stations. Sounds like we’re the only neighborhood to try that yet.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- DC Urban Turf argues that Georgetown was the place to make money on real estate over the last ten years. But GM thinks they’re being a little selective. Sure, buying a home in 2000 and selling it in 2010 will give you a good return, but plenty of Georgetown homes bought in 2005 and sold in 2010 are selling at a loss.
- DC Mud looks into plans for the Potomac waterfront just down the river from Georgetown.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- There’s another one of those pop-up shops where Field’s tailor used to be. GM thinks these are a much better way to fill an empty store front than with “for lease” signs.
- BeyondDC looks into the old Aqueduct Bridge ruins.

- Casey Trees declares January the month of the American Elm. Learn more about the majestic tree and how Casey Trees helps Georgetown keep wonderful collection of them alive.
- Find out how historic homes like Dumbarton House investigate and interpret the stories of the building’s past residents.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- A little birdy tells GM that Serendipity 3 is hoping to open January 15th. GM will believe it when he sees it.
- TBD stops by the National Pinball Museum.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- More neighborhood market news: After running Sara’s Market for 19 years, the Johnsons are taking a well-deserved retirement. They will continue to own the building but will rent out the market to a new operator, so hopefully not much will change with the shop.
- Good new year’s options in Georgetown.
