- In case you missed it, Pope is out at Hardy, Nerenberg will take over both Hyde-Addison and Hardy next year. More on this later.
- Merriment in Georgetown was a huge success. It was cold but not frigid and the crowds were much bigger this year. While there are still a few kinks, it appears that this tradition will take hold.
- Georgetown’s getting a Target! Kinda.

- According to the Post, several years ago Montana Senator Max Baucus used his bold faced name to weigh in against the proposed paving of the Georgetown trolley tracks near his home. The proposal was eventually dropped in favor of rehabbing the tracks.
- Even without snakes, the Georgetown University population was able to reduce the number of vermin in its midsts.

- The Citypaper deconstructs Georgetown Cupcake’s choice in automobile.
- There has been a cluster of robberies with guns in the East Village over the past couple weeks. They have occurred mostly between 8:00 and 12:00 at night. Please keep your eyes open for suspicious activity and report it immediately.

- Last Saturday, a mugger held up a pedestrian on the 3200 block of Reservoir. When he walked away with the victim’s wallet, the victim started to call the cops. The mugger saw this and ran back and stole the phone too and got away. Cheers to the victim for making an effort to call the cops as soon as possible. While it didn’t turn out as planned, GM thinks you’re awfully courageous.

- Peggy Cooper Cafritz’s temporary apartment in Georgetown suffered a small fire. She’s staying there as she recovers from her mansion burning down in July.
- Demolition is moving swiftly on the old French Connection building. The Apple Store is scheduled to be open next March.
