Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

• Georgetown Waterfront among the best spots for a picnic in DC (if you happen to go back in time today, don’t mention this fact to a local, their head will explode).
• A food truck company bought Shanghai Lounge (GM went recently. The food is the same, which is to say decently good Chinese food. Although GM still misses Arisu).

• Another Georgetown home hits hard times and has to do house porn.
• Rose Park farmers market returns.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

• Capitol Prague Cafe (the new coffee shop occupying the old Morso Express space, and the older Fetoosh Express) is now open. The main restaurant section is due to open soon, although GM hears not much has been done on the procedural side to get the liquor license back up and running.
• Speaking of coffee, if you want to drink a lot of coffee and burn some of the caffeine off on the bike, this coffee bike crawl (including Baked and Wired) may be for you (shouldn’t it be bike roll?)

• If the idea is to get more student parties on campus, these photos from Georgetown Day tell GM that they’ve got a lot of work to do. How incredibly staid is that? They look about as wild as a Sunday tea party.
• The Powerhouse on Grace St. is really starting to become a go-to venue for splashy parties now that Western Development cleared out.

• This is probably the most important thing the DC government will do all year.
• Anthony Lanier thinks all Georgetown gas stations will get built on in the “foreseeable future”.

• Patrick Mara came in third place for the special election, but he won Georgetown, for what it’s worth.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

• GO VOTE! If you’re on the west side, your voting place is the normal one at Duke Ellington School. The east side, however, will be voting at the library, not Christ Church.
• Mark Ein is apparently throwing another huge party at his vacant Georgetown house for the Correspondents Dinner. Two years ago they plastered several blocks with unauthorized and illegal no parking signs (you can’t just go to Home Depot and buy a no parking sign, particularly if you’re taking out dozens of spots). Will they repeat that unneighborly faux pas?
