If one walks to the end of this alley and turns right, you will be on Cherry Hill Lane. Half way down on the right at 3211 lived Robert W. Lyle (1922-1996) longtime “curator” of the Georgetown Branch Library’s Peabody Room, the special collections of Georgetown history.
After being nearly destroyed by fire on April 30, 2007, the Peabody Room will be reborn on Monday, October 18, 2010. Please come and visit us!
