Dean and Deluca by M.V. Jantzen.
Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- What exactly is a “silly band“? Is that like today’s slap bracelet?
- Old Chevy Chase Bank customer looking to move back to a local bank? Bank of Georgetown expanding again.
My first “silly band” came from my son, who got it from a girl. My second “silly band” was found on the street. Then I bought a pack of silly bandz and when still others asked “what are those,” I said, “here, have one,” and they happily slipped one or two on a wrist. Even though largely a fascination and fashion statement of the under-5 set, I enjoyed my silly bandz, which got retired after Labor Day. They were summer fun.
For the curious and fun-loving, they are sold by the pack at the check out at, among other places, True Value hardware in Glover Park. They’re silly, so why not?
