Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- GM had a prior commitment and couldn’t make it to the Hardy PTA meeting Wednesday night. Thankfully Shaun Courtney was on the job.
- Some councilmembers are proposing to rename Pennsylvania Ave. as a protest for voting rights. GM sort of proposed that idea a long time ago…
GM, I think it’s time to take down the Christmas decorations. (On your masthead, that is.)
That Exxon station really is quite a blight. Prime space wasted.
William, I am a die hard when it comes to Christmas decorations. Our tree is still up and probably won’t come down till February. I figure the dark gray days of January are when we need lights and greenery the most.
Oh I understand. I leave my Christmas cards hanging from the mantel until Candlemas (February 2nd).
@asuka:
You’re exactly right and this photo provides some perspective of how much desirable land is taken by the gas station. A significant amount property/income tax is forgone because this is a gas station on very valuable land rather than 3-4 floors of condos.
