Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- Big flooding down at the Washington Harbour. More on this later.
- On a cheerier note: profile of 1789 chef.
- Anyone know what those ridiculous pounding noises were that started at 6:00 this morning?

I heard those noises in Glover Park. What was it? It seems like 6 AM is too early for such construction.
There was major demolition at the Riverside Hospital Site near the crossroads of Foxhall and Palisades (4460 MacArthur Blvd) starting at 6:00am this morning, but not sure that the sound would carry all the way to Glover Park.
I thought it might be the person responsible for raising the flood walls at the Harbour smacking his/her head! 🙂 And it was very audible in East Georgetown.
That is so odd, I heard it all the way on the far east side of Georgetown too.
