As a nice token of appreciation for his participation in the Georgetown 2028 project, the BID gave GM a framed map of what Georgetown will (hopefully) look like in 15 years.
Things to spy on the map:
- A Metro stop
- Gondola
- Bridge to Roosevelt Island
- Ferry
- Streetcar
- Gateway signs
- Refurbished Georgetown Theater
- Bike lanes
- Kayak on the canal
- Green market along canal
- Refurbished canal boat
- Parklets
Phew…We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us.
(Hint, hint to anyone on the committee who received a copy of this map…)
This would be a great item to donate to YOUR Peabody Room!
