After a few seasons of showing kids movies outdoors in Rose Park, the Friends of Rose Park are trying something new: adult films. Wait, that didn’t sound right. Rather: films for adults.
The reality is that it’s really tough to do outdoor movies for kids because by the time it gets dark enough for a movie, it’s already bedtime. But adults don’t have that problem. So on June 15th, the Friends of Rose Park will show To Kill a Mockingbird at 8:00 in the park. The idea is to grab some food at the farmer’s market beforehand and make a picnic out of it.
Oh, and Georgetown Liquors will be offering discounts to moviegoers. Not that you’d bring an open container of alcohol into the park [wink-wink].
