As part of his annual census of Georgetown establishments, GM likes to see how the restaurants and cafes breakout in terms of style. Hence: what does Georgetown taste like?
Like most years, there wasn’t that much difference versus last year. Sweets still take the cake, with the opening of Sugar Lab, Acai Berry, and the Dough Jar making up for Dolcezza’s closure. American keeps the second slot, growing from seventeen to nineteen different restaurants. Italian and Asian are close behind.
The slice that grew the biggest is coffee shops, which increased 50% from eight to twelve. Georgetown’s got a bottomless love for coffee shops.
