Yesterday the DC Board Of Zoning Adjustment approved Call Your Mother’s application to operate as a corner store at 3428 O St. The commissioners voted 3-0 in favor.
Although the restaurant announced previously that if they received approval in December they would opened within days, shop-owner Andrew Dana told Eater that the goal right now is to open by the end of January.
There is the probability of an appeal by the party opponent, which would not prevent the opening of the store. Although if successful, the appeal would essentially overturn the BZA decision and they’d be back to square one.
So, good news for bagel fans, but the wait will go on for a little bit longer.
