A new restaurant has opened at 1560 Wisconsin Ave: Oakberry. It’s a large chain restaurant focused on açai bowls and smoothies. Here’s its menu for the bowls:

(If you’re wondering about the biblical reference in the bottom left corner, Isaiah 6:13 states: “And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed will be the stump in the land.” Seems perhaps the inspiration for the store’s name?)
Two different restaurants have given it a go in this space since Dolcezza left. A short lived Indian restaurant and then La Jolie Bleu, which was much loved, but couldn’t make it through Covid. A açai bowl concept might be better suited for the small space, as it is more in line with Dolcezza than the proper meals served up by the others. Best of luck to them!
