The Georgetown Metropolitan Hits The Beach
GM’s at the beach this week, so the posts will be a bit lighter this week. Depending on AT&T coverage at the beach, you may get the Morning Metropolitans this week, and the Georgetown Metropoli are all set to go, but you’ll have to wait till next week for regular middle of the day posts. See you next week!

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- DDOT planning to refurbish O and P streets (where the streetcar tracks are) next year. Will that mean a decision on the tracks?
- Staying on the transportation theme: 30th St. bridge over the canal closes today for reconstruction. It’ll be closed for roughly one year.

Could We Ride a Water Taxi to Nats Games Soon?

It was just announced that water taxi service would finally be provided to Nationals games. The initial reports said that likely points of call would include Alexandria and National Harbor. But the excelent SW SE DC blog JDLand got a list of what companies would be offering the service. On that list is Capitol River Cruises, which operates out of Georgetown. It’s unclear whether this means they’ll start offering water taxis service between Georgetown and the stadium, but it sure would be a fun way to get there and back.

Hurt Home Offers Due Friday
All bids to buy or lease the historic Hurt Home on R St. across from Montrose Park are due this Friday. GM reported this last month. His best guess for what will take over that space is high end condos. Although given Wormley Row’s slow sales, maybe condos aren’t the best choice.
A list of potential suitors after the jump:
