Georgetown Battens Down

After two nights of increasing vandalism targeting commercial establishments in Georgetown, shopkeepers went into lockdown mode last night. In a truly bizarre scene, dozens of construction crews were out throwing up plywood as the sun went down. It was as if a hurricane were about to strike.

There are far more pressing concerns facing this nation and this city than the health of the Georgetown commercial district. But GM has some trepidation that even once the protests end, the plywood won’t come down.
