Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:
- Expensive cashmere apparel shop coming to the former I-Thai space. It is another in a long line of recent “Direct to Consumer” brands opening up bricks-and-mortar shops in Georgetown.
- GM’s not sure how recent the change is, but he just saw that the Safeway is back to being open 24-hours.
The Georgetown Metropolitan 
The current Georgetown Safeway (the third store on that site in which I have shopped) has changed very little since it was opened (when — 15 years ago?). The major reshuffle of merchandise locations that led to the early closings may be a response to the arrival of Wegman’s in Tenleytown.
