The ANC meets for its March session next Monday at 6:30 at Visitation. The agenda is below, but here are some highlights:
Co-working is all the buzz recently. And now Georgetown will get a new spin on that concept with The Wing, a “network of co-working and community spaces for women.” WAMU has a bit more details: “In D.C., a trendy women’s coworking space called The Wing is expected to open in Georgetown, offering lactation rooms, blow-outs and spritzes of Chanel No. 5 for an annual fee up to $2,700.”
The item is on the agenda because they are apparently also seeking a liquor license as a restaurant, which is a bit odd! Restaurants have to get 45% of the revenues from food sales. How can a co-working space get that much money from food? Will they even have a kitchen? We’ll see.
Whatever form it finally takes, this space will have a prime location directly next to Baked and Wired. Continue reading
