New Neighborhood Market Coming, WITH BAGELS
It was just last week that GM was passing on the news of the closing of Le Petite Corner Store, the neighborhood market at 34th and Dent. But good news is already on the horizon: a new market will open in its place. It will be called Dent Place Market and it is targeting a late February opening.
Here is what it is promising:
The market is located in historical Georgetown on the corner of Dent Place and 34th Street. Dent Place Market wants to honor the spirit of Georgetown while redefining what a neighborhood market sells. Great wine, local craft beer, innovative snacks, fresh pastries, Bullfrog Bagels, and Compass coffee is just a start to what you’ll find at Dent Place.
Coming soon in February 2019!

But since it was operating as a market before the zoning rules kicked in, it was allowed to continue. Continue reading

A surveillance camera caught the above photo of the suspect. If you see her, call 911 immediately. She apparently has a distinctive hair cut, with the sides shaved close and blonde hair on top. Continue reading
