All bids to buy or lease the historic Hurt Home on R St. across from Montrose Park are due this Friday. GM reported this last month. His best guess for what will take over that space is high end condos. Although given Wormley Row’s slow sales, maybe condos aren’t the best choice.
A list of potential suitors after the jump:
In July, the District held a meeting for interested parties. Among those who attended include:
- XXICR
- Hines
- IDS
- Blue Skye Construction
- Adams Investment
- SOME
- Argos Group
- Century Associates
- East Banc
- Century Associates
- Finisteere Design and Development Corp.
- DC AHC
- Bundy Development
- Hickok Cole Architects
- Corporate Finishes
- Torti Gallas
- Somezk Development
- Capitol Services Management
- V & W Construction
- Capital City Auction
This is a line up of real estate developers, construction companies, at least one soup kitchen, and other assorted companies. The one type of party GM is a little surprised not to see on the list is a charter or private school. The property would be pretty well suited for that in GM’s opinion.
What would you like to see move in?
