A new chocolate shop is coming to the former American Holiday shop at 1321 Wisconsin Ave. The store, L.A. Burdick, sells a variety of high end chocolates and other sweets. They have five locations, having started in New York, but moved to Walpole, NH, as one does.
There’s been a bit of a scarcity of chocolate shops in Georgetown recently. Just a few years ago we had J. Chocolatier, Leonidas, Godiva, and Fleurir Chocolates. They’re all gone now. Sure, you can get chocolates at Dean and Deluca or Thomas Sweet’s, but it will be nice to have a dedicated chocolate shop again.
