The long wait will soon be over: Dumbarton Oaks Gardens will be open again to the public. They have been closed since last July in order for the institution to perform significant upgrades to the systems.
And with this early spring causing forsythia and daffodils to burst out, the gardens are opening just in the nick of time. The gardens are spectacular pretty much any time of the year, but with the cherry grove, the ancient wisteria, and fragrant magnolias, they’re really at their peak in the spring.
