Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Is significant African-American history at risk on Dent Place?
  • Hope Solomon is not happy that the BID still has Christmas decorations up.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • GM always loved how this house lists its address both in the current style and the pre-merger style.
  • Old Hardwear store finally reopening as hair salon. GM just wishes they would get rid of that giant and ugly awning.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Looks like Commander Salamander is being replaced with an M & T Bank. Booo.
  • Want to check out Mike Isabella’s new Mexican restaurant but don’t want to wait for it to open here? Check it out in Cleveland Park.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Rumor is that Good Stuff Eatery is moving into the Crepe Amour space. GM had heard they were moving into the old Morso space, but that never came to pass.
  • Jack the Bulldog better bounce back fast from his torn ACL because his replacement has already been found.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Philly Pizza became Go Fresh became Crave.
  • WaPo suggests Baked and Wired as alternative to Georgetown Cupcake crowds. Like all tourist-condescending Georgetowners, GM agrees with the sentiment but the thing is, Baked and Wired has some pretty long lines too these days.

Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • GM heard a while back that Crepe Amour was getting kicked out so a chain restaurant could come in (GM doesn’t know who, but swears he heard rumors about Dunkins a while back). Nothing happened for a while, but now it appears to be coming to pass. While Crepe Amour looks for a new location in Georgetown, they are going to start a food truck.
  • Georgetown could survive a downtown nuclear blast. Yay!?
