Construction on the Montrose (previously known as the Hurt Home condos) has been going on for a little over a year. But according to some relatively new real estate listings, most of the units are already claimed. And the remaining ones are pretty damn expensive.
The three listings are for a 2 BD/2.5 BR, 2 BD/3 BR, and a 3 BR/3.5 BR. And they range in price from $1.4 million to $2.4 million. They’re pretty big, though, with square footage ranging from 1,500 SQF to 2,500 SQF.
Earlier listings indicate that five other units were listed and are under contract. There are going to be 15 units, and the current listings state that only the six remain (which appears to include a few of the properties now under contract). Continue reading

Hey, don’t forget that this weekend in the CAG annual gala at the Italian embassy. You don’t have to be a member to go, but it’s a good time to join up as it reduces the ticket price.
There will be a bunch of great items up for auction, including a two bedroom apartment in Florence, Italy with an “exquisite terrace” with an incredible view of the historic city.
And GM was told that it is a legit masked ball, so bring one along!

GM is heading up to the Berkshires this weekend to visit family. He expects to get in some serious leaf peeping. But if you’re stuck here you can still enjoy some great foliage without even leaving the neighborhood.
Casey Trees has pulled together a fantastic little tool, it’s a map of downtown DC with several different trails laid out that you can take and admire quality street tree foliage. In Georgetown it recommends a meandering trail through the heart of the village to enjoy its sugar maples:
