Good morning Georgetown, here’s the latest:

  • Looks like the future tenant of the Jennifer Convertible store will be…..a Sleepys. GM thinks this is great actually. We all need mattresses and now we can walk to a storeroom.
  • Still no bids for the Guards sign. Not to sound crazy, but maybe it’s not actually worth $10,000?

Who Does This?

IMG_2472

GM walked out of his house on Saturday and discovered that somebody had cut off a bunch of flowers from an annual he had in a box in the front of his house.

Who does this?

What a petty crime (both in terms of it being a really small violation but also just being small-minded). Are those flowers really worth stealing?

The previous policy will continue for now. For Georgetown that means that no annual visitor passes will be available. If you have a guest and need a pass, you need to go to the police station and request one. Continue reading

PARK(ing) Day This Friday

This Friday, PARK(ing) Day comes to Georgetown. This is an annual event celebrated across the globe whereby space that is ordinarily allocated to the storage of cars is taken over for other uses. The point is to make people realize how much public space we turn over to the storage of private vehicles, and to at least raise the question of whether that real estate couldn’t be put to better use.
